After two meetings between Uli Hoeneß and Hans-Joachim Wirtz, Max Eberl is now actively involved in the deal. A meeting between Eberl and Florian Wirtz's father/agent has also taken place. Eberl explained how Bayern and Vincent Kompany are planning with Wirtz

Da bin ich mal gespannt, wie die Sache ausgeht und was uns der Tranfer am Ende kostet. Es wird auch Zeit dass das Thema ein Ende findet.

Laut Bild hat man sich jetzt mit Wirtz geeinigt. Offen soll nur noch sein, ob der Transfer schon diesen Sommer stattfindet oder erst im nächsten Jahr, denn die Verhandlungen mit Leverkusen haben noch nicht begonnen. Der Spieler wird alle anderen Angebote ablehnen, er will nur zu Bayern. Man plant wohl bald ein erstes Angebot über 100Mio€ abzugeben. Sollte man sich nicht einig werden hat Wirtz scheinbar versprochen, dass er bereit wäre noch ein Jahr zu warten. Der Verein plant wohl, damit seine Verhandlungsposition zu stärken um den Preis etwas zu senken:

Bayern are preparing an initial offer of around €100m, which they soon will present to Leverkusen. If no agreement is reached this summer, Wirtz has promised Bayern that he is willing to wait another year. Leverkusen would then have to sell as it would be their last chance to get a fee for him. From Bayern's point of view, they now have leverage for the upcoming negotiations with Leverkusen to reduce the fee to below €100m in 2026 if Bayer 04 refuse to sell this summer [@cfbayern, @altobelli13]

Gestern wurde Eberl ja mehrmals auf Wirtz angesprochen ... quasi von jedem Sender. Dementiert hat er nichts sondern meist nur breit gegrinst ... we will see

Scheinbar hat man sich mit Wirtz auf Vorverträge für diesen und nächsten Sommer geeinigt. Uli hat wohl großen Anteil daran, dass der Spieler sich für uns entschieden hat, da er durch regelmäßige Treffen mit Wirtz‘ Vater die Grundlage für den Transfer geschaffen haben und der Familie u.a. auch bei Verhandlungen mit Adidas über Sponsoring unterstützt haben soll. Rumenigge wird sich jetzt wohl um die Gespräche und Verhandlungen mit Leverkusen kümmern, Eberl ist weiterhin nicht involviert:

The work of Uli Hoeneß now appears to be bearing fruit. The honorary president did the groundwork for the transfer and was in regular contact with Florian's father and agent, Hans Wirtz. Among other things, he helped the family make the footballer's Adidas contract more lucrative

Now Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is supposed to help mediate between Bayern and Leverkusen so that the transfer can go through this summer. Contrary to other reports, Max Eberl is still uninvolved. At the moment, it looks like Wirtz will indeed join Bayern this summer

In addition to FC Bayern, Real Madrid and Manchester City were also interested in Wirtz. But weeks ago, Hans Wirtz signaled to Real Madrid that a move abroad would come too soon for his son – especially since Real likely couldn't have afforded the transfer. Wirtz would likely cost around his market value (€140m) this summer. Next summer, however, the fee would drop significantly

Der Transfer nimmt immer mehr Fahrt auf. Vielleicht spielt er ja schon bei der Club WM für uns.
